Indiana
Jones is a world-renowned adventurer and professor of archeology.
Known as the go-to-guy for artifact retrieval, Indy's travels
often put him at odds with dangerous rivals, battling enemies
from power-hungry Nazis to voodoo priests. Jones pieces together
mysterious clues, deciphers ancient maps and navigates deadly
booby-traps in pursuit of worldly treasures. Armed with his trusty
bullwhip, wit and charm, Indiana Jones recovers priceless artifacts
and keeps powerful secrets from falling into the wrong hands.
After an
incident with the Soviets led by Irina Spalko, Dr. Jones is placed
on indefinite leave from his position at Marshal College. Mutt
Williams seeks out Indiana Jones on behalf of his old colleague,
Harold Oxley, who has disappeared on an expedition to find Akator,
the lost city of the Mayans. Deciphering Oxley's letter, Indy
quickly realizes that his old friend, trailed by Spalko and her
Soviet agents, is after the Crystal Skull. Heading to Peru, Mutt
and Indiana Jones must find Oxley and get to Akator before the
Soviet agents!

A
fast update from the road (we're in Minneapolis, MN on a shopping
trip). Although Legoland (in Mall of America) was a huge disappointment
(no new 2009 sets), the Target stores are clearing the 2008 sets
for 50% off. So I was able to pick up the Temple of Crystal Skull
set for $39.88! They had 2 other sets at this location also at 50%
off. |

A
wonderful surprise awaited us today as we opened our mail and
found a familiar envelope (one of our self-addressed ones). More
fun was trying to figure out who it was from. The postage said
it all - United Kingdom.
A big thanks
to Mr. Jim Broadbent for responding in such a timely fashion and
adding this fine photo to our collection. |

Saucers
Over Hollywood have released what is arguably the best (and
most accurate) reproductions of the Hand Phaser and Communicator
from Classic Star Trek.
Authorized
by CBS Studios, these would make an awesome addition to any Trek
collection. The Communicator
is limited to 750 and the Hand
Phaser is 2,800.
