Bid
on a chance to win a screen-used Indiana Jones fedora from the
personal collection of George Lucas and signed by Harrison Ford!
In an auction
to benefit The Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human
Rights, George Lucas has donated a rare iconic piece of movie
history to help raise money to advance the human rights movement
throughout the world. Here's part of the auction description:
"Now,
you have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own one of the
famous fedoras actually worn by Harrison Ford during production
of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Of the
custom fedoras used during the filming of Indy's fourth big
screen adventure, this is one of the 'slightly aged' versions
of the iconic headgear, showcased when the rugged and rumpled
adventurer has gotten himself into a tight spot."
"Indiana
Jones' hat is arguably one of the most famous hats in cinema
history. This hat is particularly special as it is from the
personal collection of the director -- the one and only George
Lucas!"
The auction
runs April 8 through April 29, so if you've always wanted to don
one of the most famous hats in movie history, register
and head
on over to the auction for more details!

Do
you remember where you were 15 years ago? Were you one of the many
who made the trek to Disneyland park to be among the first to ride
the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction? If your answer
to the second question was “yes,” then you probably
remember some of the great merchandise surrounding the opening of
the attraction, including the Indiana Jones-themed hats, apparel,
action figure toys and other novelty attraction souvenirs, like
the Indy whip.
Fifteen years
later, the Disney product development team began a quest to develop
new anniversary-themed product that Disney and Indiana Jones enthusiasts
alike would enjoy, and here’s what they were able to unearth.
Indiana Jones
unisex tees include popular sayings, icons and characters from
the film, including “I Hate Snakes,” Archaeology Geek,
Fortune & Glory, the rolling ball and the much anticipated
Indiana Jones Adventure Fifteenth Anniversary commemorative
tee with the tagline, “It’s not the years, it’s
the mileage.” Young archaeologists can join the excavation
in a denim youth tee that reads, “A one way ticket to adventure!”
Some other fun “artifacts”
you will dig up include a souvenir mug, a water bottle, a magnet
and other items with the 15th Anniversary nod to this beloved
attraction.
