Hasbro releases an image of the just released role-play 3-foot
whip and Indy's fedora. The whip is a repack of the one that plays
theme music and makes whip-cracking sounds.

The
Noble Collection has added three new items to their impressive
Indiana Jones offerings. Better start saving for a replica of
Mutt's sword, the Staff of Ra headpiece and a wonderful letter
opener set. Thanks to John Alexander for the heads-up!

Lito V.
writes in tonight to share his love of Indy and Halloween -
"I
just wanted to share some pics with you of my Indiana Jones-related
jack o-lantern for this Halloween.
Being
the year of an "Indiana Jones" film release, I decided
to do something Indy-related, of course. I had seen all sorts
of Indy carvings before...most of them being of the hero himself.
But I had yet to see one of the infamous Crystal Skull. So,
I sat down with a pic of the Skull and free-hand drew my design,
then set to craving it.
I think the finished project speaks for itself...in fact, it
might even be good enough to fool Indy himself! Well, maybe
not...but at least we wouldn't have to worry about him staring
into the eyes of my version!"

In our travels today (here in Winnipeg, Canada) we discovered
the new Uncle
Milton Giant RC Ant (at Zellers). Retailing
for $29.99 it looks like it might be a lot of fun. We are waiting
on Uncle Milton for our request for review copies of their Indiana
Jones offerings. Stay tuned for more info.

With over 5,000 miles traveled we've finally returned home. We visited
over 100 stores in search of Indiana Jones goodies. And we have
the utility trailer to prove it! Four 50-gallon rubbermaid containers
filled plus tons of displays and posters. It will take days to sort
through all the stuff and put it away. Photos will be forthcoming
once we get settled back into our normal routine (I drove for 16
hours yesterday just to get home at 5am and feel a little wonky).
The story of our adventure (using our Garmin
Nuvi 360 as a 'guide') will be posted soon. |

As we move forward to include other genres on the site I'm thrilled
to be able to share the cover of the October 17th issue of Entertainment
Weekly. It's a first look at J.J. Abrams reimagining of Gene
Roddenberry's beloved Star Trek.

I'm writing from Dallas Oregon tonight. What a day! I found Mutt
on Motorcyle figure, both Orville Redenbacher popcorn and Crunch
'n Munch Indy food, the newest issue (#4) of the Official IJ Magazine
(congrats Brandon), the new issue of Cinefex and a LOT of KotCS
DVD/Blu-ray copies - from Best Buy, K-Mart, Wal-Mart (lenticular
package), Target and Circuit City. I passed on the Blockbuster version
as it comes with reprints of the KotCS comic. |

There is nothing more fun than brushing your teeth - and listening
to John Williams' Raiders March coming out of your mouth. Yes
- we've found a toothbrush that plays tunes while you brush. Retail
is $9.99 and we found them at Target. |

We've reacheed the half-way point in our Indy trek across America.
With over 2,500 miles driven we have a car full of Indy goodies.
Still no sign of TOD figures or a Deluxe Mutt on Motocycle figure
at any store (with over 60 now visited).
John writes
in to share this news that Orville Redenbacher and Crunch
'n Munch both have tie-ins to the October 14th release of
Kingdom of the Crystal Skull on DVD/Blu-ray.
See scan on right for more info.
Tomorrow we
tour Lucasfilm's Presidio/Letterman Digital Campus and begin our
trip home via the US101 Freeway. |

For the first time music from all four INDIANA JONES
soundtracks composed and conducted by John Williams will be available
in a limited edition collectible CD boxed set.
Includes previously
unreleased music from Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones
and the Temple of Doom, and Indiana Jones and The Last

and rare behind-the-scenes images from all four films, this set
re-introduces long out-of-print music from the three original
Indiana Jones films plus 2008's Indiana Jones and
the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. |

As many know I'm driving 5,000 miles (over 2 weeks) to hunt down
any Indy stuff I missed (all the while with my beautiful wife along
for support). We will end up in SF visiting Steve Sansweet and then
begin the trek home. We've
crossed North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and are currently
in Vegas (Nevada). The best place to find Indy stuff has been
easily Wal-Mart. Worst is a tie between TRU (they have informed
me at every one that IJ is a discontinued line and they will not
be receiving any new stock) and Target.
While in Salt
Lake City today I found the 2 DVD Battle Packs.
Also got lots
of store signs and display from kind clerks and merchants that
wanted to contribute to our IJ museum. |

As was recently announced, Papa
Johns Pizza is running an Indiana Jones promotion
for the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray release on October 14th.
While we have
none in our neck of the woods (in Canada) I was fortunate enough
to visit the location at 22335 El Toro Road in Lake Forest - CA
tonight. I'm down for three days on the prowl for more Indy stuff
to add to the museum. And what a treat I received!
I was able
to obtain a mint pizza box, coupon and gift card when I ordered
my pizza. The General Manager, Ryan O'Daniel, was fantastic in
helping me obtain these fun new items for the collection. And
best of all - he served me up a wicked pizza!
So if you
have a Papa
Johns in your neighbourhood you'll win doubly - great pizza
and cool Indiana Jones collectibles all to take home.

Several readers (from Canada) have written in to say that they
received the wrong Hasbro premium mail-away figure. In speaking
with the fulfillment company we are pleased to be able to pass
on this information -
"There
was a mix-up on roughly 100 Canadian Indiana Jones figure orders
where the consumer has received the incorrect figure. This situation
is being resolved and the correct figures are now in the mail."
For Canadian
Indiana Jones figure requestors who have a question about their
order, you can send me an email
and I'll pass it on.
