Several readers (from Canada) have written in to say that they
received the wrong Hasbro premium mail-away figure. In speaking
with the fulfillment company we are pleased to be able to pass
on this information -
"There
was a mix-up on roughly 100 Canadian Indiana Jones figure orders
where the consumer has received the incorrect figure. This situation
is being resolved and the correct figures are now in the mail."
For Canadian
Indiana Jones figure requestors who have a question about their
order, you can send me an email
and I'll pass it on.

If pocket watches, die-cast metal cars and big-eyed
one coin figures bearing the name or likeness of Indiana Jones
are your thing than I have something for you! Found once again
in the electronic marketplace that is eBay, I happened across
the Kubricks Be@rbrick line, namely Indiana Jones and
the Golden Idol.

Indiana
Jones and the Army of the Dead
There's no
rest for the weary treasure hunter, but that's how Indiana Jones
likes it. Fresh from spying for the Allies in the thick of World
War II Germany, the globe-trotting archaeologist doesn't need
much persuading to join his cohort "Mac" McHale in searching for
one of the most coveted of artifacts: the fabled black pearl known
as the Heart of Darkness. But the partners in adventure are not
alone on their foray into the mysterious jungles of Haiti. German
and Japanese agents are in hot pursuit, determined to possess
the ebony artifact -- and its secrets -- for their own sinister
purposes. And shadowing them all is an infamous voodoo priest,
with powers of both diabolical science and black magic at his
command.
On a treacherous
odyssey across the Island of the Dead, where the legend of zombi
looms large, spiders, snakes, and booby-traps will prove the least
of Indy's challenges. And capturing the prize will be child's
play compared with confronting an enemy unlike any other, whose
numbers are legion and nearly impossible to kill -- because they're
already dead...
The Indiana
Jones adventure continues with a new, original tale from bestselling
author Steve Perry. It will be available from Del Rey Books in
May 2009.

Germany today. Wonderful Indiana Jones books (and DVD's) from
both countries. Some of the books are exclusive to European markets.

If the TOMY
die cast car wasn't enough, I had to go and purchase a case of
Indiana Jones One Coin Figures by Kotobukiya.
While these guys are small, they do offer a unique look at Indy
and the gang (even a certian space pirate from a galaxy far, far
away made it into my case of figures).

New arrivals
from Europe brought some cool items into the collection. But I
need to buy into the Postal system to get dividends on all the
shippings costs I'm incurring!
From France
we have numerous bags and backpacks along with datebooks, binders,
school supplies and folders.

From
England we received a cool boxed sticker album with stickers
entitled "Sticker Paradise".

We finally had a moment to unpack and assemble the 3 vinyl kits
from Kotobukiya.
And all I will say is "too cool"!
All three
are easy to assemble and look fantastic. With the addition of
extra pieces for Indy and Henry Jones you can choose how you'd
like these iconic characters to look.
The Raiders
of the Lost Ark ArtFX theatre captures the essence of that
memorable scene from the opening of the film. I, for one, cannot
wait for the other entries in this series! |
