Indy sketchcard artist Mark McHaley has posted this awesome piece of Indiana Jones art on his facebook page with this note -

"The giveaway at my SWC5 table will be a 5x7 postcard, promoting the Indiana Jones Celebration group on facebook. Joining this group is the same as signing a petition to support the need for an Indy Celebration. Info is on the back of this (mailable) postcard.
I will also have a VERY limited amount of larger giclee prints (also FREE). You'll have to stop by my table and ask for details. No purchase necessary! "

With San Diego Comic Con 2010 behind us now (and not too many Indiana Jones announcements to be had) I thought I revisit a great item from Sideshow Collectibles.

Originally sold out, I've noticed that this awesome collectible is once again available from Sidehsow's site. I am of course talking about the 12" Indiana Jones figure from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And the version I'm going to write about (and show photos of) is the exclusive version that came with the fridge.

Actor James Gammon has died of complications from cancer of the adrenal glands and the liver. He was 70.

Gammon was perhaps best known for his role as the 'creative' manager of the Cleveland Indians in 1989's "Major League." He has also appeared in "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles" as President Teddy Roosevelt.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, as well as a brother and sister, two daughters and two grandchildren.

We'd love to hear your feedback on the site and where you'd like to see it go in the future. Drop me an e-mail if you're going to be attending and let's see if we can't meet up!

Recently Sideshow Collectibles answered some questions about plans for their on-going Indiana Jones line of 12" figure and dioramas -

Monday, July 5th, 2010
Q. I love 1/6th scale dioramas. One I would love to see would be a crystal aliens chamber from 'Kingdom of the Crystal Skull'. Any chance Sideshow will make a 1/6th scale full-body Crystal Alien on Throne piece? That would be mind blowing. You’ve already got the head done from the Indy DVD release…

A. It’s a great suggestion – and one we’ll take back to the design team.

Q. I am a big fan of your Indiana Jones 12-inch line. I know you decided to take a little pause before presenting the next figure. But please, please, please answer me this question: Will you make these characters in 1/6th scale in the next years? … Mola Ram (perhaps with Godess Khali Statue as an Exclusive), Col. Vogel, Sallah, Marion, Oberst Dietrich, and Marcus Brody? I am a fanatic fan of your 12-inch lines. Please continue in that high quality!

A. While we have been on pause with the 12-inch figures, we have committed to development of a mine-cart environment meant to pair with 1:6 scale products. That should help you to see where we’re likely to develop next, although we hope that the remainder of Indy 12-inch isn’t all Doom and gloom.
