A Light-up Crytsal Skull? Indy Temple of Doom Premium Format release date?

If the tantalizing glimpse of the latest Indiana Jones Premium Format wasn't enough to get you thinking (and hopefully) spending some cash on Sideshow, they are offering some more product information with their latest Q&A.

Here's the latest:

Q. When will see the next diorama from the Indiana Jones line?
A. We’re not sure of the exact timing yet. Stay tuned to the website and Newsletters!

Q. Will we ever see Marion Ravenwood from you guys? In ANY format?
A. Just to cut to the chase… currently, she’s not on the schedule.

Q. Temple of Doom Premium Format? Any updates? When will we see the first photos?
A. Yes, it will happen… soon. It will probably be seen by Comic-Con 2010.

Q. Are we getting any more Indiana Jones 1/6th figures anytime soon?
A. More will come, but not in the next few months…

Q. With the news of the Fertility Idol Prop Replica, any chance fans will see a Light-Up 1:1 Scale Crystal Skull Prop Replica from you guys? It is my favorite thing from all of the Indy films! Please DO NOT make it fixed to a base though. Thanks so much Sideshow!
A. Understood – you want to role-play with your Crystal Skull, not just display it! We are interested in the Crystal Skull, and we’re working with Lucasfilm to see what we might be able to do. We can’t promise a light-up feature, although it is possible.

While it's not much, its great to know they are keeping the Indy product line alive!

Indy-fan Hugh writes in to let us know of this posting over at Ain'tItCool...

Do you crave adventure? Do you hate snakes? Do you live in Austin? Check out the Indiana Jones Trilogy Feast menu!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a little heads up for all you Austin-area foodie cinephiles. I've heard much about the Alamo's feasts, where you get treated like a king for X amount of hours as a particular film runs. I haven't attended one, if you don't count their awesome Spaghetti Western spaghetti feasts they used to run where you'd get unlimited spaghetti for the length of some awesome Sergio Leone western, but I plan on attending this one.

The complete Indiana Jones Trilogy (according to the website it's the complete trilogy that they thankfully never ruined with a fourth, lesser entry), complete with themed meals including (and I'm not @#!$ you) slow-cooked Snake Curry. There's even a threat of a side dish containing beetles.

Don't worry, they have real, edible food, too. Like roasted Bass, lamb, pearl onion soup (eyeball soup) and pork cutlet.

Here's the Alamo site where you can buy tickets.

It's a bit pricey, but you get a 6 course meal over the run of three of the best adventure films ever made. There's an option for wine and cocktails that'll run you an extra $25 as well.

If you listen to the Slashfilm Podcast I recently guested on it and went off the rails about my love of Temple of Doom. Any chance to see Temple on the big screen is something I'll jump at.

So, April 11th I'll be at the Alamo Ritz all day eating richey-rich food, sipping some wine and giving my eyeballs a nice massage courtesy of Dr. Jones, Steven Spielberg and the awesome folks at the Alamo. What about you?

Thanks for the heads-up Hugh!

We though we'd pass on some info about the game 'Mafia Wars' offered by Zynga on such platforms as Facebook. While it is a free game, you can pay money to advance your character more quickly with extras. Problem is they offer zero customer support. Their own forums are crammed with complaints from players that they have been unable to play for over 4 weeks. Which is fine - if you haven't given them money to enhance your game play.

We opened a support ticket to see what would happen. At first nothing. Eventually we received a form letter stating to 'clear cache' and other advice. We told them in the original ticket that the game doesn't load from any machine on any network. So those tid-bots aren't helpful as it isn't related to anything at the users end.

After 4 weeks the latest email from them was 'they are aware of an ongoing problem' and 'are working diligently to restore game play'. Still no game.

Our advise is to avoid their games - especially if you intended to pay them money as it will be lost and you'll be left angry and frustrated.

We are on a trip to Anaheim and Hollywood. As we walked down Hollywood Blvd to see the set-up for the Oscars we stumbled across these on the Walk of Fame...

Also came across this inside the entrance to the famous Wax Museum just a few doors down from Mann's Theatre...
